jewellery workspace

If you’re like me, YouTube is your virtual classroom filled with a worldwide selection of specialist teachers. And inside, you can learn how to do pretty much anything. Including: make your own beaded jewellery,

I originally taught myself to make beaded jewellery by watching YouTube clips, so here are a few of my choice picks. I hope they help other aspiring jewellery artists.

Happy beading!

I previously mentioned that my jewellery making began on the dining room table.

Well, it still happens there… but I kinda like the idea that passers-by can watch me making jewellery. Guests who come over can always look, touch and comment on my pieces. And, ofcourse, family members are always giving me feedback on any pieces I make!

But, what does a jewellery workspace require?

I’ve created a few easy steps to creating your own workspace.

Step 1. Find a desk. The surface must be clean and flat – beads roll.

Step 2. Stretch out your arms.

Step 3. Use your arms to push everything off the desk and onto the floor (if, anything is there)

Step 4. Make sure the selected space has good lighting. A desk lamp would be helpful.

Then, and only then, you can begin.

5. Start making jewellery!
